We All Have Our Big Daddy

A Daddy is a father, according to the dictionary.

A father is one’s male parent by definition.  He plays a crucial role in the household. He works hard to provide for his family and does his best to meet their needs and expectations. A father is the one who enforces strong discipline among family members and is regarded with respect by anyone. He guides his children in the correct direction and inspires them to attain their life goals through quality education. A father is the one who stays firm by his family and shields them from society’s ills. He serves as the family’s backbone, tying each member together.

We all have different stories which shower us with both happiness and pain. Growing up without experiencing how it feels to be loved by a father is a painful feeling which is filled with so much longing. The father is the family’s head, and if he leaves or abandons his family, all members suffer. There are kids who have never felt the love of a dad, perhaps because their daddy left them or, worse, died. We must come to realize that when the weight of life feels too heavy to carry and we are alone to face all our brokenness and challenges in life, we have a big Daddy to lean on. He can be the source of our motivation to pursue more and He can also heal our pain and take away the emptiness inside our hearts.

The Big Daddy I’m referring to is the first Daddy, according to Isaiah 41: 4. He is the first and the last, a Daddy to every other father. He has given us the chance to have the right and privilege to be his children and address him as a father. Act 3 refers to Him as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is a father to those who do not have fathers on this planet. Psalm 10:14 calls him the helper of the fatherless, the true Daddy. Psalm 18:2 says He is a rock, fortress, deliverer, shield, of our salvation and who we can trust.

Friends, I am talking of a Daddy who can meet needs-Psalm 24:1 says the earth is the Lord and the fullness there. I am sure you desire such a Daddy; I am referring to a Daddy who owns all financial institutions, connections, to name a few- 1 Corinthians 10:26 states that He owns the earth and everything in it. A Daddy whose words words are proven and tested.

Do you have any idea who He is? How did you first meet him? Have you made him your personal Lord and Savior? I’m referring to God. He is our Daddy, and the only way to become his child is to embrace Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. According to John 14:6, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father except thru Him. God desires to save you. That is why he sent his only son and suffered Himself at the cross (John 3:16). Jesus wants to rescue you and give an eternal life right now. According to John 10:10, thieves come to take and destroy, but Jesus came to give us life and abundant life. If you have not dedicated your life to Christ, it is not too late. He will absolve you of all your sins.

You can do so now by confessing with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and the Bid Daddy of your life.  Please join me in prayer with me:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. I make this prayer to you, in your name, the name of Jesus. Amen.

Finally, we should not be afraid since the Lord is with us and will never abandon or forsake us. It is true that God has the power to heal all of our wounds, including our deepest agony and nightmares from the past. He adores us more than anyone else can. So, even if we don’t have a physical father, we shouldn’t be concerned since God is our Big Daddy.
